Antique or vintage Native American trade bead necklace done in white and pink coral or some kind of stone. This is really heavy and the stones are large. The white are approximately 13 x 11 mm and the coral colored ones are about 18mm x 15.5mm. These are strung on some sort of jute or string with elk leather ties on the ends. There are also small bits of leather between each bead. This is very unique and very well made and was an heirloom passed down to me from my family. My grandfather was raised on a Cherokee reservation however I'm not sure where this was acquired. They look like ancient trade beads and could be 19th century. They have natural inclusions and pits in the stone/material.
